My dear friend Christine tagged me to answer these questions in her blog, so I’m gonna do it! Sure, she tagged me two weeks ago, so she probably didn’t think there was any chance I was gonna do it at this point, but SURPRISE! We were supposed to tag other people to do this, but Christine tagged pretty much everyone else I know w/ a blog besides my family members, so I won’t worry with that. Anyway, here we go:
1. If you had to move to a different city tomorrow, where would you choose to live?
Sunnyvale, CA. It’s beautiful, the air is better for my asthma, it’s one of the safest places in the country, they have a Five Guys (it just opened!), there’s a Toys R Us in the SAME shopping center (and apparently it’s haunted!), and the name makes me think of the sun and happiness! Plus, the name Sunnyvale always makes me think of the town in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Sunnydale.
2. What is your favorite soundtrack (Broadway, movie, television show, etc.)?
Oh my goodness, this is definitely the toughest question in the batch. I think I’m not gonna be able to narrow it down to just one. Here’s a list of my top 3 for each category:
Broadway: Phantom of the Opera, Rent, 1776
Movie: Dan in Real Life, The Royal Tenenbaums, Footloose
Television: Veronica Mars, Grey’s Anatomy Vol. 2, The Muppet Show (don’t judge, you have no idea how often I listen to the Muppets)
NOTE: I chose not to consider the Glee CD’s cause they’re not traditional soundtracks, nor do they feature original music (like the Muppets!).
3. Do you make your bed every single day?
I make my bed about 85% of the time at school. (Though I don’t always make it first thing in the morning. Sometimes I won’t make it til I get home from classes.) This is greatly improved from the 0.00001% of the time I did it before I went to college.
4. What is the DVD you watched most recently?
Again, I feel like we need to distinguish between movies and TV shows. The last TV show DVD I watched was Fringe Season 2, disc 1 (disc 2 should be arriving from Netflix tomorrow!). The last movie DVD I watched was An Ideal Husband (I’m a sucker for romantic comedies set in 18th or 19th century Britain. Think I might watch Emma later this afternoon).
5. Do you have a “signature dish” that you cook/bake/etc? If so, what is it?
If I’m baking something to take somewhere, I always make cupcakes. I either do chocolate frosting on yellow cupcakes, or vanilla frosting on chocolate cupcakes. If there’s not chocolate involved, it’s so not worth it to me. If I have to make some sort of side dish to bring, it’s always hashbrown casserole (experience has taught me that this is always a hit!).
6. What was the last song or album you purchased from iTunes?
The last song I purchased was “Don’t Hide Away” by Bishop Allen. It was the final song I purchased for the playlist I made of music from the tv show Chuck. The last album I purchased was Mindy McCready’s newest album “I’m Still Here,” which was an impulse buy and ended up being a mistake. The last tv show I downloaded from iTunes was the 4th episode of Vampire Diaries 2nd season, “Memory Lane.”
7. If you had to give up chocolate or peanut butter, which would you choose? Why?
Peanut butter. No contest. Did anyone really answer chocolate? I couldn’t live w/o chocolate. (Though 20 years from now, I might have to: http://gizmodo.com/5685499/were-running-out-of-chocolate. And yes, I have begged my boyfriend to become a chocolate geneticist.)
8. Were you good at tag as a child? Why did you agree to play this little version of tag?
I guess I was ok at tag…. I don’t really remember. I don’t think I was a super fast runner, but I think I did ok. I definitely wouldn’t have been good at any kind of tag game that took place in the pool (Green River, shudder). I decided to play this version because I haven’t blogged in forever, and thought it would be fun!
On that note, I should hopefully have something else to blog about soon. I’ve been asked to make some cards to sell at an alternative Christmas market at school to raise money for charity, so maybe I’ll be able to post some pics of them in the near future!
